Jerwin Capuras joined Volunteers from over 45 nations have served onboard the Africa Mercy, which was acquired in 1999 and built specifically for the Mercy Ships mission. It is the largest non-governmental hospital ship in the world, effectively more than doubling the annual medical capacity of her predecessors. Jerwin was one of our Original Minority Care International. He graduated in the Nursing program, completed his certification, and worked at the Southern Philippine Medical Center as a surgical nurse. It is locate at the Davao City. They are selfless servants. They deliver the highest quality care to individuals who otherwise would have little access to medical services. And they pay their own way, so every dollar donated to Mercy Ships can go directly to helping the world’s forgotten poor.
